Stacey Shively

Stacey Shively is an organizational psychologist, leadership educator, and executive coach with over 25 years of experience developing leaders at all levels. She has extensive global experience, having developed over 25,000 leaders in 30 countries from the C-suite to the front lines. Her background in transformational learning, adult development, leadership, and organizational psychology makes her uniquely qualified to support leaders and organizations make lasting behavioral change. She is passionate about empowering people with the mindsets and skills they need to make a difference in their communities.

Background & Experience

Stacey started her consulting career in the non-profit world, focusing on marginalized communities in New York City. She was a trusted advisor to community organizers, non-profit boards, the NYC Mayor’s Office, and the United Nations on gender equality, leadership agility, leading across boundaries, organizational development, conflict resolution, and high-performing teams.

After serving in the non-profit world, she shifted her focus to research and teaching and was a research associate at Harvard and Columbia Business school. As a teaching fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, she taught popular courses on Leading Without Authority, and Power, Gender and Authority. At Columbia, she was an adjunct lecturer in Transformational Learning and Adult Development.

For the past 20 years, Stacey worked in a professional services firm, where she led a global leadership practice. In her role, she helped create and scale the firm’s portfolio of services, developed global faculty, and led the design and delivery of cutting-edge programs with global organizations and high-growth startups across a range of industries including telecommunications, biopharma, healthcare, technology, FMCG, banking, financial and professional services, entertainment, retail, and many more. She has extensive experience in facilitation, executive coaching, leadership strategy, assessment and development, and designing leadership development portfolios.

Stacey’s coaching focuses on behavior change. She brings a research-backed perspective on limiting beliefs and behavioral patterns around how people think, lead and act under pressure. Her coaching focuses on helping individuals recognize these patterns and replace them with mindsets and behaviors that make them more effective leaders.
